Park vehicle on firm, level ground and away from the flow of traffic. Remove any wheel-covers before installing Icebear Z. Drape the chain over the tyre. Ensure that the tensioner hooks are at the outside of the tyre, and that the smooth "TIRE SIDE" of the eyelets will be in contact with the tyre sidewall. When installing the chain on the outside tyre of dual tyres, tuck the inner end fastener between the tyres.

Move the chain in a sweeping motion under the vehicle so the open mid-section is positioned against the backside of the tyre. This sweeping motion can best be done while kneeling in front of the tyre.

At the inner sidewall, connect the inner end fastener (the "split" in the outside cable can be opened to provide more space for connecting the inside fastener).

Connect the outer end fasteners.
|

|
|
Install the rubber tensioner, always stretching the tensioner from one hook to the one farthest from it (use the included lever tool to make this installation easier). Use at least two rubber tensioners per chain (for LZ-587 to LZ-595, LZ-787 to LZ-795 and ZE-132 to ZE-145 one rubber tensioner is sufficient) and make sure that rubber tensioners are fastened in all hooks.

Vehicle may now be driven with no further adjustment.
